Census Counties (Connecticut)
Connecticut's 9 planning regions as the Census Bureau draws them, with each planning region's land and water area. Since 2022 the Census Bureau has used Connecticut's planning regions, the areas its regional councils of governments cover, in place of the eight counties that no longer have any government, so these are the county equivalents every current Census product reports by, and a reliable outline and name list for mapping or summarizing anything else by region.
