State Planner

BEA State Earnings by Industry

What work in every state pays, industry by industry, every year since 1998: the earnings of everyone working there, employees and the self-employed alike, the pay and benefits employers provide, and wages and salaries alone. Use it to compare which industries carry each state's paychecks, to follow an industry's payroll across states and years, or to see how much of a state's earnings come from business owners rather than employees.
