BEA Consumer Spending by State
What the residents of every state spend, every year since 1997, on more than a hundred kinds of goods and services, from motor vehicles, gasoline and groceries to rent, health care, public transportation and dining out, seen two ways: by type of product, and by what the spending is for. Use it to compare how households in different states spend, to size a state's spending on transportation or health care, or to follow a category's growth across states.

All personal consumption expenditures (PCE) estimates are in millions of current dollars (not adjusted for inflation). Calculations are performed on unrounded data.
For the personal consumption expenditures, goods, nondurable goods, and other nondurable goods categories, the difference between the United States and sum-of-states reflects the net expenditures abroad by U.S. residents which consists of government and private employees' expenditures abroad less personal remittances in kind to nonresidents.
