What each record holds, as the publisher describes it: 60 fields.
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
ODOT_DISTRICT | From 1-12 plus Central Office – the counties are grouped into districts in Ohio for ease of maintenance and funding |
NLFID | Primary key field that allows ODOT’s graphic roadway network geometric segments to be linked to business data attributes |
COUNTY_CD | The 3-letter code of the county within Ohio (88 counties total) |
COUNTY | County in which the feature is located |
ROUTE_TYPE | Two letter code indicating the basic transportation grouping or system that the route belongs to - third component of the NLFID; For further definitions of codes, please refer to the Roadway Information Manual |
ROUTE_NBR | Route number associated with the section of the route |
ROUTE_SUFFIX | Single letter used with the route number in local and municipal systems to guarantee uniqueness; For further definitions of codes, please refer to the Roadway Information Manual |
CTL_BEGIN_NBR | Beginning County Log Point of the section of the route |
CTL_END_NBR | Ending County Log Point of the section of the route |
STL_BEGIN_NBR | Beginning State Log Point of the section of the route |
STL_END_NBR | Ending State Log Point of the section of the route |
BACKSTATION_CD | Backstation CD |
SECTION_LENGTH_NBR | Length of the segment |
NHS_CD | National Highway System indicator |
FUNCTIONAL_CLASS_CD | Federal Functional Class |

PEAK_HOUR_NBR | Peak hour of traffic |
VHT_NBR | Total time vehicles traveled on a segment of road |
CONGESTION_DELAY_NBR | Congestion Delay (difference between free flow travel time and congested travel time) |
PHYSICAL_DELAY_NBR | Physical Delay (difference between travel time at speed limit and free flow travel time) |
SPEED_LIMIT_DELAY_NBR | Speed Limit Delay (Difference between 65 MPH travel time and speed limit travel time) |
DELAY_RATIO_NBR | The ratio between the delay factor and total time vehicles traveled on a segment |
