Drivable Road Network (from TIGER/Line)
Every public road in Ohio that can be driven, from interstates to local streets, alleys and parking lot lanes, joined into one network with an assumed driving speed for each kind of road. It answers how long a drive takes: the route and time between two places, the area within so many minutes of a site, each neighborhood's drive time to its nearest hospital, school or park, and tables of drive times between many places. The times are free-flow planning estimates, without traffic or turn restrictions; divided highways and their ramps are driven the way their traffic runs, and every other road both ways.

The TIGER/Line shapefiles and related database files (.dbf) are an extract of selected geographic and cartographic information from the U.S. Census Bureau's Master Address File / Topologically Integrated Geographic Encoding and Referencing (MAF/TIGER) System (MTS). The MTS represents a seamless national file with no overlaps or gaps between parts, however, each TIGER/Line shapefile is designed to stand alone as an independent data set, or they can be combined to cover the entire nation.
Edges refer to the linear topological primitives that make up the MTS. The All Lines shapefile contains linear features such as roads, railroads, and hydrography. The All Lines shapefile contains the geometry and attributes of each topological primitive edge. Each edge has a unique TIGER/Line identifier (TLID) value.

What each record holds, as the publisher describes it: 9 fields.
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
TLID | The segment's TIGER/Line id; joins oh_tiger_edges.tlid |
TNIDF | The intersection it starts at; another id where a highway or ramp is lifted off a road it crosses |
TNIDT | The intersection it ends at; another id where a highway or ramp is lifted off a road it crosses |
MTFCC | The road's class, S1100 to S1780 |
FULLNAME | The road's name, such as I- 71 or N High St; null where it has none |
(ours) | The speed assumed for the class |
(ours) | Length along the earth's surface, in miles |
(ours) | miles driven at speed_mph |
(ours) | 1 where driven only from source to target, -1 only from target to source, 0 both ways |
