LEHD Workplace Area Characteristics (LODES)

Jobs located in each Ohio neighborhood — a census block group of roughly 1,100 people — broken out by industry, age, earnings, race, ethnicity, education and sex, and — for private-sector jobs — by the age and size of the employer. This is where work actually happens rather than where workers live, which makes it the starting point for job-center, corridor and economic-development questions. Counts come from state unemployment-insurance payroll records, not a survey, and cover 2002 through 2023.
