Car and Bicycle Parking (OpenStreetMap)

Car parking lots, garages and on-street parking areas, and bicycle racks and shelters, in Ohio, as mapped by OpenStreetMap's volunteers, with each lot's outline and area where it is drawn as an area, and its kind, capacity, accessible spaces, fee and who may use it where mapped. No statewide public inventory carries these. Good for parking supply studies, how much land downtowns and corridors give to parking, park-and-ride and bike parking near transit, and redevelopment sites; coverage depends on how thoroughly volunteers have mapped each town.

From the publisher

OpenStreetMap is built by a community of mappers that contribute and maintain data about roads, trails, cafés, railway stations, and much more, all over the world.

OpenStreetMap emphasizes local knowledge. Contributors use aerial imagery, GPS devices, and low-tech field maps to verify that OSM is accurate and up to date.

OpenStreetMap is open data, licensed under the Open Data Commons Open Database License (ODbL) by the OpenStreetMap Foundation (OSMF). How this table is made

© OpenStreetMap contributors. Read from Geofabrik's extract of OpenStreetMap for Ohio with GDAL's OpenStreetMap driver, keeping only the tags in the table below. A point (an OpenStreetMap node), a closed way or a multipolygon relation is kept when it is tagged amenity=parking or amenity=bicycle_parking; individual parking spaces and entrances are not included. An area's outline is repaired where it crosses itself, and its area is measured on the earth's surface when loaded; its point is a point inside the outline. No other tags are loaded, and Geofabrik's extracts carry no mapper names. Each row is one OpenStreetMap object, identified by its type and id, so it can be looked up on openstreetmap.org.
